mooncake!

Actually we got to enjoy mooncakes before we came here (thanks to mom in law who bought for us)! But I couldn't resist buying one when we were at Chinatown last Saturday, as it was Mid Autumn Festival.

Walked into this bakery that was teeming with people, and saw the mooncakes - there was a variety including those with up to 4 egg yolks in a mooncake! Of coz, being health conscious (and also HL doesn't like yolk in mooncake) and thrifty (without yolk is cheaper), I bought the cheapest at US$4.25 a piece.

And guess what, while I was looking around the bakery, I saw photographs of Bill Clinton shaking hands with the employees of the bakery! Apparently, when Clinton was in SF and visiting Chinatown in 1996, he stepped into this bakery for 30min, and employees and customers alike were elated and of coz, wouldn't miss the chance to pose for pictures and shake hands with the American President! So that is how the bakery got its fame...
